Last week, The Brandeis Parents’ Association hosted its annual Challah Bake, inviting our Brandeis Family to join in a special evening as part of The Shabbat Project. As October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, pink was the color of the night as a portion of proceeds benefitted Sharsheret. Attendees had the opportunity to prepare their own Challot and create beautiful challah covers. Yahel Jasmin, former Brandeis parent and Breast Cancer survivor, donated her time to create beautiful Henna for anyone interested. Haddasah Geisinsky from the Chabad of the Five Towns led the event and explained the mitzvah of baking Challah for Shabbat. Local vendors contributed wonderful prizes that were raffled off and proceeds from the tickets will also be donated to Sharsheret as well. It was a beautiful and meaningful experience for our Brandeis mishpacha.
